CAFE RESTAURANT
A Café Restaurant was not reaching its business goals. Nearby competitors were thriving. Overspending on advertising campaigns with little growth, they opted for data-driven decision making using BizziRex Location Intelligence Reporting. Purchasing two BizziRex Location Intelligence Reports provided the intelligence to know their visitor top postcodes and their main competitor top visitor postcodes. With BizziRex, they know the proportion of visitors that were local, regional and from a far. The Café Restaurant redirected its advertising to their top visitor postcodes and their competitor postcodes. After noticing an increase in customers, they purchased another standard report to compare visitor trends before and after the campaign period.

Housing Infill
HIGH URBAN AMENITY
With an increase in interstate migration, a region was experiencing a housing supply shortage. The public was putting pressure on the government for intervention to increase the amount of houses allowed in existing urban areas. BizziRex Location Intelligence Reports were used to identify areas within the urban centres that have high numbers of pedestrians passing by and longer stay times as an indicator of high urban amenity with walkable neighbourhoods, public spaces and community services. These areas were targeted for further investigation to accommodate urban housing infill.

Increase active transport
GOVERNMENT TRANSPORT AUTHORITY
A government transport road infrastructure network was at capacity and they needed innovative ways to increase mode share to take pressure off the congested road network. A study was undertaken to understand why the active transport network is underutilised. BizziRex Location Intelligence Reports were used to understand people movements across different times of the day. Results found a substantial decrease in the amount of people using pathways and cycleways in the summer months; and for some regions, low usage across the whole year. As a trial, street lighting for security, shade trees for heat comfort, seating for rest stops, bike racks, water fountains, public art and landscaping were implemented to test the impacts they had. BizziRex Location Intelligence Reports pre and post works were used to measure the increase in people using the pathways and cycleways, and illustrate the success of the project.

Property & Investment
Franchise site selection
PROPERTY ADVISORY
A franchise was uncertain about where to open the next store. Working with a property advisory group using BizziRex Location Intelligence Reports, they compared five properties. By leveraging BizziRex data, the team was able to identify the property with the highest pedestrian passer-by counts at the right time of the day. Checking the BizziRex demographic profile metrics of visitors to the area, they were able to choose a location that best fit their customer base and franchise offering.

Facility users
BOAT RAMP
Community feedback is saying their local boat ramp is too congested. A government authority used a BizziRex Location Intelligence Report to understand how busy the boat ramp is and when it is over capacity. The report showed much higher than expected visitor rates overall and peak usage times. They used the where visitors come from metric to understand why the visitor rate is so high. Results revealed a very high proportion of visitors travelling further than 50km to use the boat ramp and a high proportion coming from interstate’ to ‘regional areas. It was apparent from this evidence that the local boat ramp was, in fact, servicing a much larger catchment of people, providing the justification for the boat ramp to be upgraded and parking to be expanded.
